ANCU Members visited UNESCO Kabul Office

On Feb 13, 2018, Afghanistan National Commission for UNESCO (ANCU) members had a meeting with UNESCO Kabul Office. First of all, Ms. Patricia Macphlips Director of UNESCO Kabul Office warmly welcomed ANCU members and added that, this mutual meeting can provide good opportunities for expanding relations between UNESCO Kabul Office and ANCU.

Later on, Mr. Mohammad Shakir Habibyar Secretary General of ANCU appreciated UNESCO Kabul Office for inviting of ANCU members; he emphasized that such mutual meetings can pave the way for coordination to work closely together for achieving UNESCO’s objectives and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of United Nations.

In the margin of the session, various departments of UNESCO Kabul Office have shared brief information about their activities in different areas including of culture, SDG4, ELA and information and communication.

At the end of session, Mr. Habibyar once again acknowledged efforts of UNESCO Kabul Office and insisted more coordination between UNESCO Kabul Office and ANCU.

It is worth to mention that UNESCO Office in Kabul have funded and supported huge projects i.e. Curriculum Development Project and Technical and Vocational Education Training Project at Ministry of Education.
